begins with a heroine previously unknown in the Naruto continuity:Princess Fuun. Fuun's nemesis, Mao, challenges her group with an armyof undead soldiers. His dark intentions seem to prevail, that is, untilPrincess Fuun and her cohorts, Shishimaru, Brit, and Tsukuyaku, unleashthe power of the Seven-Color-Chakra upon him. They save the day, andNaruto, watching from afar, couldn't be more elated.
As itturns out, Naruto is partially imagining the situation. He is actuallywatching the scene in a movie, as is the rest of Team 7. But then, theaudience of the movie starts to throw objects at the team for making somuch noise while arguing with the cinema manager. Kakashi had sent themto watch it as preparation for their next mission: guarding FujikazeYukie, the actor who plays Princess Fuun, while she makes the nextmovie in the Snow Country. As it turns out, Yukie is actually theprincess of the Snow Country, which was taken over by rogue ninja whenshe was a child. The leader of the rogue ninja, Doto Kazahana, wantsYukie's crystal necklace to unlock the Snow Country's treasure, whichYukie's father had hidden before being assassinated. After variousbattles between Team 7 and the rogue ninja, resulting in the defeat ofall and the death of Nadare their leader, Doto succeeds in obtainingYukie's necklace, only to discover that the "treasure" of the SnowCountry is a generator designed to melt the snow and bring Spring tothe country. Doto is then defeated by Naruto in a manner reminicient ofPrincess Fuun's defeat of Mao.
With the rogue ninja all gone,Yukie becomes the princess of the SnowCountry, which will eventually become the Spring Country after thetechnology behind the generator is perfected. Despite being a princess,Yukie intends to continue acting, and the next film she's starring inis an adaptation of one of Jiraiya's Icha Icha novels, much toKakashi's surprise.

The movie opens with a battle taking place at night on a desolateseaside beach between Sand-nin and soldiers wearing bulky suits ofarmor (apparently European in influence). Despite their best efforts,the Sand-nin are slowly overwhelmed by the sheer strength of theirmysterious opponents. The timely arrival of reinforcements led byKankuro and Gaara evens out the odds, Kankuro slicing apart a suit ofarmor with his puppet, and Gaara dispatching a large number of enemiesen masse with his signature Desert Imperial Funeral. However, whenGaara orders the Sand-nin to shine a flare at the retreating enemies, alarge warship which resembles a pre-WWI-era dreadnought (SEE: Frenchbattleship Redoutable) arrives to reinforce them. The ship then opensfire with some kind of missiles and Gaara's sand armor barely managesto protect his comrades.
The movie stars Naruto, Shikamaru, and
as they deliver a lost pet to its village. However, a mysterious knightcalled Temujin intercepts them and they fight, causing both to beknocked off a cliff. Then, the group becomes separated, and Shikamarustumbles upon an enormous mysterious moving fortress.
Naruto wakes up to find himself injured in a caravan. He also findsTemujin asleep beside him. When Temujin awakens the lost pet seems tobe attracted to him. The caravan is part of a moving county.
Meanwhile Sakura and Shikamaru split up to search for Naruto. Shikamaruspies on the fortress and finds a lab with children in capsules and twogirls with the same armor Temujin was wearing talking about the GelelStone
The movie revolves mostly around a special mineral called the GelelStone, which has a strong and mysterious power. There was once a clanthat could control the stone's powers (the traveling caravan andTemujin are part of this clan), but they were destroyed because offights for the stone.

The Land of the Moon is a very wealthynation, so the prince tends to buy whatever he wants, and isn't tooquick to follow the directions of his escorts. When the group happensto come across a circus with a rare sabertoothed tiger, he ends uppurchasing not only it, but the rest of the animals as well. Now theteam has to look over both the spoiled prince and his newly-acquiredpets. On top of that, three powerful ninja are hunting them.
Clips of the movie show Naruto, Sakura and Lee exhibiting some newskills, at least in the context of the anime. Sakura can enhance herstrength as shown when fighting one of the ninja. She was able to puncha hole in the wall, Lee use of nunchakus, which Might Guy uses inNaruto: Shippūden.
If the movie were to take place during the anime timeline, it wouldhave to take place during the filler arcs between part 1 and part 2,after the Sasuke Retrieval Arc and sometime before the end of part 1 ofthe anime/

Demons that once almost destroyed the world have been revived by someone. To prevent the world from being destroyed, Naruto is to guard Shion, but she predicts Naruto's death. The only way to escape it is to get away from Shion, which would leave her unguarded, then the demons, whose only goal is to kill Shion will do so, thus meaning the end of the world. Naruto decides to challenge this "prediction of death", and not leave Shion.
